The Tier 1 Investor category is designed for High-Net-Worth individuals wishing to make a significant financial investment in the UK.

Requirements:

• Investor visa applicants must have £2 million or more, held in a regulated financial institution, which is freely transferable to the UK, to be invested in UK Government bonds or UK companies.
• Investor visa applicants are permitted to bring their spouse or partner and children under 18 into the UK as dependants.
• Dependants can apply for permanent residency provided the main applicant meets the qualifying criteria.
• Main applicants and dependants must remain in the UK for 180 days per year over a continuous 12-month period if they want to obtain permanent residency after 5 years.
